About the event

When David retired he discovered a fascination with local history, and his first project was to try to unravel the story of his home – Berrator Farm. His talk will summarise what he has managed to find out.

David Dance is a retired doctor who specialised in microbiology and tropical medicine.  He moved to Devon with his family in 1994 and has lived at Berrator Farm, a grade 2* listed farmhouse with late 15th century origins just outside Buckland Monachorum, since then, apart from 9 years spent doing research in South East Asia (Laos, Thailand and Myanmar).
